All Locale Correspondants should send Nationale and Grande Corrspondant, a copy of their newly Elected Officers for 2010. This information is needed for our records and for contact information.

At this time, no one has filed a letter with the Grande Corespondant, for the office of Grande Chef-de-Gare. If anyone is planning to run for the office of Grande Chef-de-Gare, I must have a letter no later than July 2, 2010.

Nationale is not sending out a Petite Communique this year. You will need to go the Nationale Web site and down load the forms, or contact National  and they will send you a copy of the forms for a fee of $8.00.

We are short 20 members from being a 100%. Membership is not over until August 1st, 2010. Division III is over 100% in membership.

The Grande is set, and spring promenades are ready to go! I was hoping the Grande would achieve the 100% goal for membership, and if it does, everyone will see what the Grande Chef looks like without his beard! Will I still look handsome? Don't laugh, but Miss Daisy has told me that I will still look handsome, at least to her!

The Grande has come out of hibernation, with a full head of steam. I worked with the re-vitalized Ritual and Wrecking Crew from Voiture 915 last weekend. Congratulations to locale Chef Marcus Smith, you have achieved all of your goals, since you took over the Locale. I can only hope your locale has a special award for your efforts. I'm looking forward to seeing all the Locale's put in one last effort, and see the Grande achieve 100% membership. To all program Directors, thank you for all your hard work. Grande du North Carolina has shined in our programs this year, and I know we will end the year with a lot of KUDO's. God bless and thank you, in advance, for all your hard work.

Hello to all,

Spring is here, and it is obvious, Grande du NC is out of hibernation. The last membership report April 15th, 2010, shows the Grande is only 37 away from 100%.
 
 You all have been doing and outstanding job, and I feel we will achieve 100%, after we close the spring promenades. Oh WAIT, that means I LOSE MY BEARD. Now I know Grande du NC doesn't want that !!  Maybe we can work a deal, send in your answer to the Grande Correspondant Richard Raines.
 
 But again, in advance, Let me say again how PROUD I am of Grande du NC. Our programs have been doing well, and I am looking forward to the Directors making their reports, at the Grande, in Hickory, 3rd weekend in July.

Anyone wanting to hold the office of Grande Chef de Train, Must be certified by the Grande du North Carolina Correspondant. The letter must show the dates when one or more of the following offices, Chef-de-Gare, Correspondant, and or Chef-de-Train, was held in your Locale Voiture. The letter must be signed by your Chef-de-Gare and the Correspondant. Cut off dates for the following:

Division I & II May 1, 2010 Division III & IV May 7, 2010

All letters must be received by the Grande Correspondant (15) Fifteen days before the Division Promenade. Hickory Voiture 915 will be hosting the Grande Promenade. More information will be posted as it becomes available.

Can it already be half way through the year? It looks as though I will make it through the winter with my hair and beard. But I hope that before the spring Division Promenades are over I will lose my beard.

We only have 1 ZERO Voiture at his time, if it is still zero at ht Joint Carolinas, it will certainly be the main subject of discussion. I hope the holidays bring blessings to all, and we’ll see ya’ll at the Joing Carolinas.
