November 2008
Fellow Americans and
Voyageurs;
One quarter of our
year has vanished already. Time does go by very quickly
and by all means when you are having fun working for la
Societe.
Oct 3-5, I had the
opportunity to attend the Hooch Wreck in Duluth, Ga. What
a great time that was. They know how to have a good
time. Voyageur Kent Molen and V-402 crew put on one of
the best active wrecks, I have ever seen. Please attend
in the future. A total of 13 were given the opportunity
that weekend.
On the 9th,
I attended V-21 promenade in Terre Haute, IN, where
Meathead Helmick and Grand Chef de Gare Mike Worrel
brought into our ranks 4 more.
Oct 17-19, I attended
the Fall Cheminot in Decatur, IL hosted by V-287 and Aide
de Camp T J Jackson. A great weekend.
On the
25th, it was off to Evansville, IN for a white
collar wreck hosted by V-471 and conducted by Grand Chef
Worrel and Grand Chef de Train Harold Hensley and gained
another 6 new Voyageurs.
The 29th
found us traveling to V-1471 in Shadeland, IN for their
promenade and presentation of a 100% award. Not a big
attendance, Locale Chef Steve George, Alternate Cheminot
Clyde Cox and Roy Trosper, but they just might
double up this year. Grand Chef Worrel made the
presentation. Mike is doing a great job this
year.
Also attending were
Grand Chef de Train Al Stupp, Lanny Blanton, Marvin
Newlin and Nationale Sous Historien Patty
Blackburn.
These Voyageurs from
Grand du IN are not quacking like a duck, but soaring
like an Eagle going from mountaintop to
mountaintop.
They are on fire for
the 40 et 8 and it shows.
Our Public relations
Directur Tony Gallagher is always on fire for La Societe
and continues to promote our organization on a daily
basis. Listen to his interview on www.loosetales.com
. Always, always promoting the 40
et 8 every day. It is an honor just to be in the same
organization with this great Voyageur.
Thanks for all the
correspondence, not only from staff members, but others
as well. I enjoy locale and Grand newsletters. They are
fantastic pieces of communication. Remember communication
is the name of the game, AND, educate, AND
dedication.
It is time to hit our
membership a lick before the holidays set in. You are
doing real well, but theirs always room for
more.
May we all honor our
veterans on Veterans Day and give yourself a pat on the
back from the staff at Nationale. WE ARE thankful for
your service to our Country.
Remember, “All that is
needed for evil to succeed is, that decent human beings
DO NOTHING”
BE somebody, Do
something. It works every time.
May you be happy,
healthy, prosperous and have fun as you
go.
At your service, I
remain

Can a space on the wed site be set up to
report on Voyager & comrades in sickness or distress.
This way everyone that checks the site will be able to see
who is not doing so well.
Once this information is posted on the web
site it is then public knowledge and would be avabile to
anyone who viewed the site Voyager and non-Voyager
alike. There are many people and family's, for their own
private reasons, that do not want this information to be
made available to public.
After talking this over with the Grand Chef and out of
respect for our Voyagers and their family's the answer is no to
posting the information on the website.
However if you know of a Voyager or comrade that is in
sickness or distress send the information to the webmaintainer
using the site contact page and it will be sent out to the
Grand Voiture Information List. This is one of the uses that
this list is setup to accomplish.
Please be sure to include all the information, the

One of the goals for this web site is to
improve the communication from Grand Voiture du North Carolina

Carolina please subscribe to the Grand Voiture du North
